COVID-19: Important Credit Union Information

Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union is open for business and ready to service all your money needs. As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our priority is the health and safety of our employees and members.

To ensure the health and safety of our employees, we have taken the following measures:

  1. Assess the work environment to ensure proper distancing;
  2. Enact stricter cleaning protocols;
  3. Allow employees to wear protective gear including but not limited to gloves and mask;
  4. Enacted a personal Travel Policy and restricted business travel;
  5. Continuous review of member contact and prolonged employee exposure.

To ensure the health and safety of our members, we have taken the following measures:

  1. Enacted stricter member area cleaning protocols;
  2. Created a member zone and transaction zone to minimize person to person contact;
  3. Evaluating member social distancing at transactional interactions;
  4. Providing free postage paid envelopes for check deposits;

To further protect staff and members, branches may close or have reduced hours. We highly encourage you to check our website often and follow us on social media for current branch and credit union information. Currently, our Mililani Branch and Fort Street Branch are closed. Our Sheraton Branch has reduced hours, and our remaining Walmart branches have new hours.

Kunia, Kapolei, Pearl City, and Maui Credit Union Hours (Walmart):

  • Monday - Friday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm


Shared Branching Update
Some of our Shared Branching partners have decided to stop this feature at their branches. As of 3/26/2020, our members will not be able to use their credit union outlets, and their members will not be able to use our facility.

  2. Get cash via ATMs - Click to request a card and further information;
  3. Get cash via cash back from retail terminals when making a transaction using your debit card;
  4. Make check deposits via the mail;
  5. Call ahead for longer or complicated transactions such as travelers checks, cashier checks, wires, loans and new accounts so we can prep it and have it ready;
  6. Utilize 24/7 drop boxes at all branches;
  7. Utilize King St branch drive-thru;
  8. Utilize Online Banking and Mobile Banking to pay bills and manage your finances;
  9. Stay updated with Credit Union news at


For members needing assistance during this pandemic, we are offering the following for a limited time (3/17/2020 - 5/30/2020):

  1. Waiving HIFICU and BOH ATM fees;
  2. Waiving ShareCard & CheckCard replacement fees;
  3. Waiving ShareCard & CheckCard PIN replacement fees;


Finally, as an added precaution we are asking our staff and members to stay home if they are not feeling well and to inform us if they have been in prolonged contact with anyone being monitored for COVID-19.
