For the Electronic Document Consent below, "I," "my" and "me" refers to each applicant; and "the credit union" refers to Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union.
CONSENT AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT. By agreeing to this Electronic Document Consent, I consent to receiving certain documents electronically that the credit union would otherwise be required by law to give me "in writing" ("Documents"), conducting transactions in electronic form, and using electronic signatures in my relationship with the credit union. I also acknowledge that: (1) I can access, read, and print this Electronic Document Consent; (2) I can access and receive documents electronically, including email messages sent to my provided email address; (3) I can retain and/or print the documents the credit union sends me electronically; and (4) my electronic signature is the legal equivalent of my written signature, just as if I had signed a paper document.
This Electronic Document Consent informs me of my rights when receiving Documents electronically. By agreeing to receive Documents from the credit union electronically, I will receive certain disclosures, notices, information and other documents related to my loan application and loan electronically through the credit union's website(s), other web sites related to my loan application, in an e-mail message or as an attachment to an e-mail message to the email address I provide to the credit union in my loan application or otherwise. My Electronic Document Consent will apply to the credit transaction I have requested from the credit union which may give rise to the obligation to provide Documents and to any other transactions, services, and/or products I may have with the credit union . The credit union reserves the right to provide certain Documents and other information via paper or mail even though you have consented to receive such Documents and information electronically.
Hardware and Software Requirements. To access the Documents, I will need a working email address, Adobe Acrobat Reader (or similar program capable of viewing PDF documents), and a personal computer or other access device that can access the Internet using a web browser. To retain the Documents, my personal computer or access device must allow me to download and save Documents to my hard drive or external storage media, print web pages as well as embedded HTML files, or both. I can save and/or print this page to be sure I have the necessary hardware and software. It is my responsibility to keep my email address updated with the credit union for purposes of receiving Documents. By agreeing to this Electronic Document Consent, you confirm that you meet the Hardware and Software Requirements and you are able to receive electronic Documents from the credit union.
Withdrawing Consent. I may withdraw my consent to receive Documents electronically at any time by contacting the credit union by telephone at 808-832-8700. If I decide to withdraw my consent, any Document previously provided as an electronic Document will remain valid, enforceable, sufficient for its intended purpose, and unaffected by the withdrawal of my consent. I understand that if I withdraw my consent, I would need to conduct transactions in a non-electronic manner.
Copies. If I wish to obtain a paper copy of any of the Documents, I may call the credit union by telephone at 808-832-8700 and request a copy at no charge.
Updating My Contact Information. I can update my e-mail address or mailing address by contacting the credit union, including by telephone at 808-832-8700 or at any branch location.
